Chosen

He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these last times for your sake. - 1 Peter 1:20

If that doesn’t stop you dead in your tracks, I’m not sure we are reading the same verse. The “He” that Peter is talking about is Jesus. Read the verse again. “Jesus was chosen before the creation of the world…”

Before the waters were made. Before a single animal was created. Before a flower ever graced the garden. Before Earth existed. Jesus was chosen. Jesus was chosen to walk this earth. Jesus was chosen to die on the cross. Jesus was chosen to be laid in the tomb. Jesus was chosen to be victorious over death and to leave the tomb forever empty. Jesus was chosen so that we can be restored to God.

Do you realize what that means? Before the waters were made. Before a single animal was created. Before a flower ever graced the garden. Before Earth existed. You were chosen. You were chosen to walk this Earth. You were chosen to be saved by Jesus. You were chosen to die to your old self. You were chosen to live as one of the victorious. You were chosen to be restored to God.

You were chosen. Jesus chose you. Will you choose Him?
