Traffic Thankfulness

It seems we have been talking about traffic quite a bit. Afterall, it is “season” and there are plenty of people visiting our area which has filled up the roads with cars. I heard a guy say, “Do you know who isn’t complaining about the traffic? The person who is walking.” His point is that we have lost our focus. We are so busy complaining about the traffic, we have forgotten to be grateful for what we have. We have a car. We can comfortably sit in our cars, listen to music, and travel from point A to point B. Even with traffic, we probably can travel faster than the person who has no car and is forced to walk.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 says, “Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” When you are stuck in traffic in your car, give thanks. When you are forced to walk to the store because you don’t have a car, give thanks. When you have a car but it decides it doesn’t want to work, give thanks. In ALL circumstances give thanks.

Be blessed and be a blessing,
Matt
