God's Grace
For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. - Titus 2:11 NIV
If you never do anything wrong, one could think you never have a need for grace. That seems to make sense. That, at least, would be conventional wisdom.
When we were kids, my brother found enough trouble for both of us. Not to say I was an angel, I certainly found my own trouble. Let's just say my brother excelled in this area. It may seem he needed grace more than I did.
I think it's natural to think of grace in this transactional way. I make a mistake, I want grace poured out on my mistake. One causes the other to be applied.
Thankfully, the grace we receive through Jesus doesn’t work like this. God pours out his grace through Jesus for all people. Yes it may seem some need more grace than others, but I assure you Jesus isn’t counting. In Romans 3:23 Paul states it well, “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Simply put, we all need grace. We all need a savior.
I am grateful that God’s grace pours out on all of us through Jesus Christ. Salvation is truly inclusive. Salvation is for all because God's grace is so enormous that he provided us a way to be restored through Jesus.
Be Blessed and Be A Blessing,
Matt
