Acts 20:24 I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me - the task of testifying to the gospel of God’s grace.
It is our (Westside Christian Church’s) understanding that Jesus has given us(The Church) our mission in Matthew’s Gospel “To go into all the world and preach the gospel, baptizing and teaching all things” (Matt. 28:16-20). From that mission Westside Christian Church has chosen as our purpose statement “Reaching up to Reach out.”
The reaching upinvolves both personal and community relationships. It is our expectation that those who are members of the Westside Christian Church will make worshipping Christ a priority in their life. It is also expected that as a person is reaching up they will also have a desire to reach out. Reaching out involves expressing your faith in some way that invites others to know Jesus Christ the way you do.
One of the main ways that we have chosen to “Reach out” is through ministry. Therefore we strongly urge all of our members to find a place that they can either help with a ministry that is already in progress or if they have a passion for a ministry to become a ministry leader.
We know we are fulfilling our mission if as a Christ follower you are a regularly attender worship and Bible studies, you are serious about financially supporting the on going ministry of the Westside Christian Church, you desire to grow in Christ and you love the brethren. Ultimately we pray that all that we do is for the glory of God.
